Ethylene modelling in package headspace of fresh produce: A review

چکیده
Ethylene accumulation is one of the main causes rapid deterioration climacteric fruit and vegetables in a package as ethylene accelerates ripening process. Modelling gas headspace promising way to control process it provides optimises methods remove ethylene. In this review, transmission through package, removal by scavenger inside are discussed with their models. The permeability packaging material allows escape from little extent. perforation also helps depart rapidly which explained modelled using Fick's first law diffusion. pseudo-first- second-order kinetics based on adsorption phenomena have been used model scavenger. mass balance between rate production can be helpful for predicting quality package. This study could lead development an active system inclusion along oxygen carbon dioxide extending shelf life fresh commodities postharvest storage.

In-package nonthermal plasma degradation of pesticides on fresh produce.
In-package nonthermal plasma (NTP) technology is a novel technology for the decontamination of foods and biological materials. This study presents the first report on the potential of the technology for the degradation of pesticide residues on fresh produce. A cocktail of pesticides, namely azoxystrobin, cyprodinil, fludioxonil and pyriproxyfen was tested on strawberries. The concentrations of ...
